Tamara Lauder
Tamara Lauder is a native of the farming community of South Dakota, and currently lives in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Having lived and worked from coast to coast she finds that each place, experience, person, and culture influences her creations.
She spends the majority of her time working in pottery and printmaking, but also creates art forms using other mediums. She creates a variety of handbuilt and thrown pottery forms
- functional and decorative. In printmaking, her work focuses on woodcut, in which the image is first carved on wood before it is inked and transferred to paper,
as well as monotypes, which creates a single one-of-a-kind image by transferring the image from a flat plate to paper. Creating is her passion, and she hopes that her art
brings others as much joy as it gives her to create it.
